Enhancing Photocatalytic Activity of ZnO Nanoparticles in a Circulating Fluidized Bed with Plasma Jets

In this work, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles were modified in a circulating fluidized bed through argon and hydrogen (Ar–H) alternating-current (AC) arc plasma, which shows the characteristics of nonequilibrium equilibrium plasma at same time. addition, with two jets was used for cyclic processing. The catalytic degradation performance on Rhodamine B (Rh B) by Ar–H plasma-modified ZnO pure tested aqueous media to identify significant role atoms Rh mechanism. Meanwhile, effects treatment time morphology, size photocatalytic also investigated. results demonstrated that after 120-min showed rate 20 times greater than reaction follows first kinetics process. Furthermore, photocatalyst cycle experiment curve exhibited still displays optimum activity five cycles experiment. improvement luminescence attributes increase surface area, introduction could enhance carrier existence where act as shallow donors.
